COMMUNITY CORNER: Eloise steals the show with final hat-trick
6:00am Saturday 17th November 2012 in STFC News
MORE than 20 Swindon schools took part in the Npower Football League Girls and Kids Cups this week.
The event involved both primary and secondary schools, with more than 2,500 schools taking part in the tournaments across the country.
Swindon Town Football in the Community Trust have experienced national success over recent years with Dorcan Technology College under 13’s girls in 2007, and Grange Junior School under 11’s in 2009, both playing in their respective national finals at Wembley Stadium.
The final of this year’s girl’s competition saw Isambard play against Kingsdown A, and Eloise Hayward, a member of Swindon Town Girls Centre for Football Excellence, was the star of the show as she netted a hat-trick to lead Kingsdown to victory.
A golden goal saw Wanborough take victory in the Primary final over Bridlewood, and will now take part in the competition’s regional finals along with Kingsdown.
