SWINDON Town are looking into the possibility of bringing Danny Hollands back to the County Ground on a full-time basis.

The Advertiser understands Town have enquired about to the availability of the Charlton midfielder, who played 10 times for the Robins during a loan spell in Wiltshire between November and January.

Charlton are believed to be willing to let the former Bournemouth man leave London, but his wages could present a stumbling block. Hollands is likely to want close to the circa £5,000 per week he earns at The Valley and it remains unclear whether Town will stretch themselves to meet his requirements.

Meanwhile, James Collins did not fly with Swindon to Portugal for the Robins’ pre-season training camp as speculation intensifies about his future.

Collins is wanted by Huddersfield, who are understood to have agreed a deal with Town for the former Shrewsbury frontman, while Rotherham have shown an interest in the 22-year-old.

Reports have also suggested that Hibernian have had a £200,000 bid for Collins accepted by Swindon, although no formal comment has been made by the club.

Shrewsbury would be due 20 per cent of any profit made by the Robins under the terms of the arrangement which brought him to the County Ground.

The striker is one of eight members of the Town playing staff not to make the trip to the Algarve.

Youngsters Aaron Oakley and Alex Ferguson are nursing injuries, as are Alan Navarro - who travelled to a specialist in London yesterday for injections on his knee - and Jay McEveley.

Luke Rooney, Paul Caddis and Paul Benson also miss out as their respective futures remain unclear.

Lee Cox continues his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury, and he tweeted yesterday: “Good to see my surgeon in Plymouth today and told I’m ahead of schedule with my rehab buzzing!”

Two trialists flew out with Swindon to the coastal Portuguese town of Carvoeiro - midfielder Yaser Kasim and defender Raphael Rossi Branco.

Kasim played 60 minutes against Birmingham last week while Rossi, currently on the books of Conference South oufit Whitehawk, has previously been on trial at Brighton.

Meanwhile, no announcement has yet been made regarding the status of Town’s search for a new manager.

Les Ferdinand remains the bookmakers’ favourite for the role, although the Advertiser understands Swindon have met with Paul Tisdale at least twice and are seriously considering handing the position to caretaker boss Mark Cooper on a full-time basis.
