No news yet on increased funding for the new season either, all a bit worrying.
On SKy this morning they were saying it actually looks like Martinez will not leave Wigan after all....he doesn't want to work under a Director of Football or a Sporting Director but Fenway insist on one!!! Honestly do not think he will go to Villa..The will need to getin an experienced Manager this time after completly ignoring their fans with their last appointment. PDC will be here for this season for sure...hopefully this week we shall start hearing some news.... Mind you, that FOOTBALL RUMOURS site is in full swing!! Going by that we could have a squad big enough for 5 teams!!! Have to laugh at all these "Experts" who have incredible "SOURCES IN HIGH PLACES" :-) COYR's
According to that rumour site Paolo is going to Oxford and taking half the Swindon team with him LOL.
    Stop posting rumours.

As we speak Paolo will be announced later today as No 2 at Rotherham. Working under Steve Evans the most admired Man in football. ;)
Gasp!!! You beat me to it!!! but did you know that Paolo will be taking lesson on how Mr Evans likes his half time cuppa?? That will be an important roll for his assistant....if the Big Mac is not dipped in for a full 3 seconds he can get quite annoyed you know...."

MIDFIELDER Lee Cox is determined to do everything he can to avoid becoming the forgotten man of the Swindon Town squad.

The former Leicester youngster made seven appearances after joining Town for £50,000 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in March, but only two were starts.

Cox was not involved in Paolo Di Canio’s side again after the 2-0 defeat away at Crewe in March, but he is determined to force his way back into the Italian’s plans during pre-season.

“At times this season it was frustrating for me because I wanted to play a lot more than I did, because every player just wants to play games,” he said.

“I was out the side a while which was frustrating, but the manager did not say much to me about why, because it is up to me to make sure I am performing well in training.

“You have spells like that in football, but you need to not get down about it and carry on doing your job.

“I want to come back and have a good pre-season and be fit, because I want to show that I deserve to be here and that I can offer something here.

“I want to be in the starting team every week because I am a determined man, and I want to be knocking on the door and show exactly what I can do and I will do everything I can to do that..

“As a footballer you need to show everything you are capable of in every training session.”

Despite the disappointment of not being involved for much of the season, Cox is still glad he swapped the SPL for the County Ground.

“Getting the move to Swindon was great because they are a massive club, and I am really pleased that I chose to come here,” he said.

“I was able to be part of a promotion winning side which was a great experience for me, and everyone did well throughout the season to make sure we won the title.

“It was a bit hard trying to get involved in the celebrations when you have not been involved in the game when the title was won, but everyone is together here and it has been amazing.

“I can’t wait for the new season to start so we can test ourselves at a higher level.”
