Very sad to see Connell and Smith go, 2 hardworking honest players, I wish them both the best of luck!

Totally agree and wish them both well.

Bradford & York are getting 2 very good players who helped STFC become champions last season.

I am sure I speak for the majority of Town fans. Thanks for everything you did and hope you both do well for your respective clubs. Best respect are that both players would get applause and not boo's if are paths ever crossed again.

Good luck lads.

Totally agree Grim two players who did play a major part last season. Smith for me would get better so its York that benefit from this strange decision, York sell him to us get 30k for him Town make him a better player then they get him back for free mmmm sad. Connell for me is a big mistake honest guy and gave maximum effort and fact is he scored some vital goals which got us promoted FACT London Red. Anyway how are you Grim and bet your like me busting at the bit for game time. When is the Forest Green match by the way and are you still going take care bud.

Spot on Jayden, if Olly had left this summer they would find another player.

Trouble is when a player is singled out they can do nothing right in their eyes.

It may be a good thing he is staying as he is big enough to rise up above it and get on with playing football.

Not the greatest Town player ever but he played in the majority of our games last season (nearly all of which we won), always gives 100% and is prepared to but his body on the line for the team.

Good luck to Smithy, another who always gave it everything, but I have a feeling the Wembley game was the reason for him not featuring in Paolo's future plans.

Sorry - didn't offence

Thought by his cunning merger of 2 words I sure you can guess why he needs to keep referring to him
.
We won't see him on mastermind anytime soon!

hahaha,i like a tasty rissole, but to be fair to Olly he's a tryer and sticks to Paolo's team orders, but is he good enough?in my opinion not for div1,don't think he play much this season, just sat warming the bench.

I have to agree, I think he's the biggest loss of the three and I to would have preferred to lose Risser. I just don't know what pdc sees in him apart from the fact he's extra cover at the back.

Good man Jayden, i dont disagree that a man is entitled to his own opinion, however some go on and on,and it becomes almost bullying.A lot of people seem to know better than our management team dont they???

Mikek I never said Connell was not a important player LAST season
.
What I said was I agree he is not a top L1 striker - the fact that no one in L1 followed up their initial interest and he is now a L2 striker again seems to back that up!
.
I have nothing against him and hope he does well at Bradford - we have just moved on simple as that really
.
If you are that confident we have lost a goal machine - pop down the bookies put a wager on him topping the L2 scoring charts and make yourself a few bob!

How are you Steve its something that gets on my pips ,like you say everyone is entitled to theirs but having sat listening to some (fans) dishing out dogs abuse at players just because hes not a ff gets me.They moan at all the poor stuff but stay silent when they do something good then a poor pass and off they go again.Yes Risser is not the best player i have ever saw but just like AC he gives 100% and is a nice guy off the pitch or should we go back to the captain Duggie days when asked to give his autograph to a 10 year old told the kid to f off in front of MR JW he never kicked a ball again for us.Rant over" hows the fishing going? In a bad mood as the wifes been and booked a holiday and i will miss the CT game .

With you there jayden, every team needs a "utility" player and Risser is ours. Apparantly he's also the fittest

Paolo just didn't rate them good enough to take us to the next level , easy as that. He's brought in better quality and there isn't room or funds for all of them.

I will reserve judgement on the new strikers when I see them banging in the goals in Division 1 thanks.

Smith is an excellent addition to york next season. i thought he was excellent last season for us and its a shame he is being shipped out. however PDC has one eye on the championship and that is good for the club. Smith would have been a great cover player but to fund the new players he had to make some tough decisions and this im sure was one of them.

Smith and Connell are both good players and both worked hard for the club. But ask yourselves this. Are either of them good enough to be consistently challenging for a place in a league 1 team that are looking at another promotion season ? I don't think so and neither did Paulo. To be fair to fringe players like Smith and Connell who would have played some games this season they have been given an easy out to play first team football elsewhere. I can see both doing very well next season and I wish both of them all the best. They deserve and will have the respect of STFC fans for their hard work. I think Paulo has got this one right, especially looking at the quality we have brought in. Besides we need to reduce the wage bill to bring in Bostock and poss another ??? Coxy is a weird one though and I hope he does enough at the Pox to be bought in January ( lets be honest he doesn't have to do much to shine as the Kassam. Turn up and make constable kiss his ring maybe !!! )
