Slade braced for toughest test

LEYTON Orient manager Russell Slade has said his side could not have been lumped with a more difficult fixture this weekend as they bid to secure their first point of the League One campaign.

Orient have lost each of their three games in the league this season, and have not scored in any of their last three matches in all competitions - leaving O’s boss Slade desperate to turn around a miserable start to 2012/13.

Slade knows he faces a stringent test of his resources at the County Ground tomorrow, where the Robins have yet to concede this term and hold a 100 per cent record.

And he seemed almost envious of the strength in depth at manager Paolo Di Canio’s disposal in Wiltshire.

“It’s tough but those are the cards we’ve been dealt and it doesn’t get any tougher this weekend at Swindon,” he said. “But I don’t mind that because it’s a good game for us.

“They’ve gone and made another five signings so I don’t know which side they will put out. He could probably put a couple of sides out.

“But we have a little bit more time to prepare. We’ve had an open and frank conversation and all of the group are in agreement about where we need to work and what we need to do to turn things around.

“The group’s together and the spirit’s good. We just need that elusive first win.”

The O's will obviously adopt negative tactics and maybe try to do a poxford on us.
Never more has an early goal been so crucial. If we get one then we'll get "some grapes".
What we don't need is to be 0-0 in the 88th minute.
I'm backing Willo to get a couple here and 3 points for the Town.
Hoping that Barry Hearns lot won't snooker us and Willo will pocket a couple on cue.

Always nervous about these ones, as Orient are due at least some points - won't see this is a "must-win" but a win would calm a few nerves, a draw or less and the confidence will really start to drop. Being optimistic (and given it's a home game) I'm banking on a town win, we'll have to work for it though.
