This isn't a comment specifically on the Town but I can never understand why it's called an "away" shirt nowadays. We play in red away when we don't have to change don't we? The old description of "second strip" was much better.

It's all about maximising revenue Den, different sponsor on each shirt, in the good ol days teams only changed colours when shirts clashed as you know, now sadly it all about money, but we got to make money somehow especially if we ain't getting enough dosh from selling players? Nathen included lol!!!!!!!!!!!

That wasn't the point I was making Don. If it's an "away" shirt why do we often play in red away from home? If the explanation is that we only play in red if the chosen away kit clashes with the home club's kit, I understand.

It's okay I guess. I preferred the black one illustrated a week or so ago which is for the manager & coaches I gather. I think they'd have sold more of those as well.

The good thing is that we are getting good backing from local firms now. A few years back we didn't have the best name locally. Great to see that's changed.

I'm with you on the Germany kit lookalike......maybe it will strike fear into the opposition that we'll humiliate them 7-1 in front of their home crowd

Not too bothered about the colours of the trims Mitted, but being an old ****, I prefer a collar to the V neck style, don't know how Cantana would have coped.

I much prefer the white, no matter what trim, over that mish mash we had before. I recall Walsall in the 70s, who played Red shirts, White shorts at home & the reverse away when playing us! That seemed to cater for most occasions. If they had to play some sides, they could mix & match. Leeds games, they could play in all red, Liverpool ones, in all white. I think that there might have been a problem against Arsenal or Sheff Utd.
