Crawley Town v Swindon Town

The two clubs have only let in the league 6 times. The first 3 Town ran out 3-0 winners on each occasion. The next three games have been a different story, each match ending in stalemate.

The last time we played Crawley away was a 0-0 draw, notable for Nathan Byrne picking up a late red for his second booking. Six of the starting line-up in the last away game are still with the club, along with 3 more on the bench. I expect the majority of those to feature in the starting line up on Saturday.

It was a great away win in the Cup last Tuesday, and coming from a goal down. Hopefully that will bode well for this season. Whilst finishing 8th last campaign can be considered respectable, especially after all the backroom upheaval, it was our away form that let us down. Picking up a few more points on the road would have put us in a play-off spot for sure.

The Town need to have learnt from last season and start picking up points away from home if they are to have any real ambition for this season.
