Third win for Turnell

Trainer Andy Turnell's horses are in sparkling form at the moment and Jigsaw Dancer gained his third victory on the bounce in the Betfred Novices Handicap Hurdle at Wincanton on Thursday, beating Celtic Spirit by seven lengths.

Ridden by Mark Grant, the six-year-old led before the second last and ran on well for a comfortable victory.

The Broad Hinton trainer told the Advertiser that he may go for a fourth win at Exeter later this week.

"No doubt the handicapper will be giving him a few more pounds to carry in the future so it may be worth giving him another run quickly.

"He's an improving sort and won well, he jumps well at home and hopefully will make a good chaser next season."

Asked about his two Cheltenham Festival runners Blue Bajan and Bible Lord, he said: "I think they went a bit too quick for Bible Lord, who was staying on at the end, and he finished fourth.

"He will be going over three miles next at either Newbury or Liverpool's Grand National meeting. Blue Bajan could also go to Liverpool for a Novices Hurdle."

The trainer runs Outlandish at Wolverhampton tonight, the horse finished second at Kempton on Tuesday.
