French guitarist Claude Bourbon grew up in Switzerland. He is classically trained and fuses classical and jazz, with ethereal Eastern influences, Spanish and even Western folk into a musical journey around the world. Claude names as his influences a real medley of stars including: Paco De Lucia, Deep Purple's Richie Blackmore, Joaquin Rodrigo, Monty Python, JS Bach and Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks. Claude now lives in the UK and is heading for Swindon on Wednesday. He is playing at the Beehive pub, Prospect Hill in Old Town, from 8.30pm. The gig is free entry.
