Charred Hearts at the Flag in Swindon on Saturday May 17Charred Hearts at the Flag in Swindon on Saturday May 17
5:45pm Thu 15 May 08
Punk is family affair Charred Hearts are a family affair, with lead singer and founder member Dermot Fuller recruiting his son Sam on board to play drums. The original line-up formed more than 25 years ago as Swindon's answer to The Sex Pistols. The first incarnation was called The Corpses - they got together in 1981 when the musicians were 14 or 15 years old. In 1983 they became Charred Hearts and split up in 1986. They got back together in 2001 just for fun. Today the line up is Dermot (singer and guitarist), Eamonn Treanor (bass), Lee Fellows (guitar) and Sam (drums). Charred Hearts will be punking it up tonight from 8.30pm at The Flag, in Bridge Street, Swindon. The gig is free.
