Martin Clunes and the cast of Doc Martin are preparing for a wedding, as they return to Cornwall to film the new series of the hit ITV show.
The end of the last series saw the grumpy doctor pop the question to long-suffering love interest and local school headmistress, Louisa Glasson (Caroline Catz) and the new series will reveal if he actually goes through with it.
Martin said: "I'm thrilled to be back on the beautiful North Cornish coast to shoot series six of Doc Martin. Our challenge this season will be to force Louisa and the Doctor to live happily together with baby James.
"The Doc is as obstinate as ever though, and viewers will just have to wait and see whether their wedding will finally go ahead."
Filming has just begun in picturesque Port Isaac - which represents the fictional sleepy hamlet of Port Wenn where Dr Martin Ellingham, the GP with a phobia of blood, has his practice - and the village is buzzing with wedding preparations
Doc Martin averaged 10.6 million viewers when it last screened on ITV1 in 2011.
All regular cast members are returning for the new series.
