THE Roman historian Tacitus wrote “The worst crimes were dared by a few, willed by more, and tolerated by all.”

There is genocide in Gaza. It’s happening in our times, before our eyes. We are witnessing the harsh treatment toward the Palestinian people today.

In 1948 their country was sliced up by imperial powers. The deal has been that the Jews of North America, Eastern and Western Europe can live in Palestine and change its name; its natives must be bulldozed, misplaced, tortured, jailed, killed and destroyed.

Palestinians seek peace, but they get jet war planes and bulldozers. Their houses are bulldozed, they are driven out of their country, their land is taken, they are pushed into a corner, defenceless Gaza is bombarded from the air, its schools and hospitals are blown out.

Palestinians have no representatives in Washington or Brussels. They have no journalists or friends in the Washington Post, New York Times, WSJ, CCN, BBC, SKY News, The Guardian, The Sun and others.

These media outlets have the power to make the victim appear guilty and the guilty appear victim: they try to defend the indefensible.

The 262 people who have been murdered in Gaza since last Tuesday were primary school students, hospital workers and patients, and young lads who were watching the World Cup. It is pure genocide.
