RE Axmed Bahjad’s letter ‘Genocide in Gaza’ (SA July 22), he writes ‘Palestinians seek peace, but they get war planes and bulldozers.’

Mr Bahjad is being economical with the truth it appears. He conveniently forgets to add that since the beginning of this year Israel has been targeted by Hamas with some 2,000 missiles, killing many. Axmed Bahjad is asking the wrong questions.

Why, for example, are the Palestinians still in refugee camps?

Surely by now rich Arab nations should have done more to help to help these people integrate, not leave them for generations with refugee status?

Or is it a convenience to see the Palestinians live in limbo to have leverage against the Israelis? So much for all the hype about muslim brotherhood helping each other.
