THANKS for banding together to help bears On Sunday July 20 the Swindon Animals Asia Support group held their 4th Walk for Freedom round Peatmoor Lagoon and Shaw Forest.
Around 40 people and lots of dogs joined us for the three mile walk to raise funds for The Nanning Rescue, where a bear farm containing 130 bears is being converted into a new Animals Asia Sanctuary.
Our group is raising money to adopt a female bear we have named Florence to go with Zebedee, our other Swindon bear.
I am delighted to say we raised £450 on the day with the support of We Love Pets, Swindon, and the kind people who donated home made cakes and doggy biscuits for us to sell.
Find photos on our Facebook page – Swindon Animals Asia Support Group and website www.animalsasia-swindon.co.uk. I would like to thank everyone for joining us.
