Opening a letter from Swindon Council, I was surprised to find a blue disabled badge, as I already have one. I looked closer to find this was sent to my flat number but not in my name.
I phoned the council and asked if I could send it back to them saying it was a mistake. How can they make such a big mistake? Surely these must be checked by two people at least. If I was a rogue and sold this badge it must be worth money. How can they make such a mistake – surely the lady must have been waiting for this badge.
If I was younger I would have personally taken it back to the council but I can’t walk far and am 83 years old. And to add to this mistake, I found out the lady moved from this building two years ago.
