G A Woodward obviously got so hot under the collar about me disagreeing with part of his letter ‘Britain at breaking point’ that he missed that I agreed with the main thrust of the letter, that it was and is Western (UK as well as US) interference in Muslim countries that is destabilising the area.

Where I disagreed with him was that the government could have accurate numbers for illegal immigrants some of who are the people who were displaced by this destabilisation and that these unfortunates were a drain on the national health and the welfare state.

He totally ignored that I wrote ‘apart from emergency treatment they are unable to get medical treatment’ and goes on to say I am naive not to consider they could get false documents to join doctors surgeries and obtain pensions from the state. He does not mention how they would get national health numbers to join surgeries or national insurance numbers in order to fool the Department of Work and Pensions into giving them pensions.

He writes I am naive in that I have never heard of the Hippocratic Oath sworn by all doctors in the land. I say that in fact he is naive to believe that it is sworn by all doctors in the land.

Nowadays some medical colleges swear an oath, some affirm before those present and some have no declaration of ethics at all. Also many doctors are the very immigrants who G A Woodward despises and they may or may not have sworn an oath, in their native country, when they finished medical school.

If I am naive, it is in the same way as the ingenue in the emperors new clothes. I can see through the invisible suit that is the racist anti immigration UKIP.
