THE question has now arisen as to who actually runs and funds our health care. Is it the NHS, local government, social services, care homes or the doctors?
Does the government care or has it tendered it all out to contractors or bidders?
You have paperwork and forms and more paperwork and forms. To get a straight answer someone has to ask someone else or find some lost piece of paperwork. To get the basics covered is a major operation and often it is a mess-up.
Our health service is in great peril and we are heading down a path of cost cutting.
However, the cost cutting is perhaps more expensive and before we know it, our health service will be a day care centre. Long-term care would be an open cheque book and all your life savings.
