In an Ipso/Mori poll published in The Independent, 56 per cent of people want to stay in the EU and only 36 per cent wanted to leave.

Even 11 per cent of the UKIP voters want to stay in.

All this in spite of years of lies and disinformation from the UKIP members and supporters. Lots of lies about straight bananas and jelly babies being banned, lies about 75 per cent of our laws being made in Brussels and unfunny jokes about EU’s officials names, Mr Rumpy Pumpy etc.

If people are voting for the UKIP in spite of wanting to stay in the EU, why are they doing so?

It can only be to give the coalition parties and the Labour Party a bit of a kicking.

However, in doing so they do not realise they are voting for a party that denies climate change and have policies that would increase this to the detriment of our grandchildren.

They would remove workers’ protection such as the working time directive, holiday entitlement, minimum wage, unfair dismissal tribunals, maternity and paternity leave.

Many voters do not understand that the UKIP are working people’s worst enemy, being far to the right of the coalition. They have even said they would get rid of the NHS.

Many people do not know that the Green Party not only wants to protect the environment but also protect all those protections above that the UKIP wants to remove.

The Greens also want to save the NHS by stopping piecemeal privatisation and getting rid of the privatisation that has already crept in.

We would also renationalise the railway system as the contracts ended and would stop pouring millions into the pockets of shareholders, but spend them on better rail services and fair fares.

We would also renationalise the energy industry which everyone knows is only out to make maximum profits from people at the moment.
