n recent days there have been a few people writing in to complain about the letters page and its contents. All I can say is it is a democratic country, have your say, and do your thing to improve the general and local situation.

I wonder how many of those who complained actually attend council meetings etc?

I wonder how many of them take part in local activities to improve the local area?

However, after seeing a letter on November 17 I can see the reason for such a letter from me. The letter from Mr Heath that day is as low as you can go. The situation in Regent Circus needs to be looked at. The point of safety is one that needs to be sorted and sorted soon. There are no markings to show who has right of way – car or pedestrians.

Perhaps Mr Heath, if he is of impaired vision, would try to cross this road or, if he needs assistance to walk, even use an electric scooter. If he is willing to meet me at the point of issue I’ll bring a scarf and blindfold him and he can try to cross one of the ramps unaided and see how he gets on. Please, before you write such rubbish again, think, and if need be, find the 10 bob you’re obviously missing.
