In reply to D Smith ‘Isle dreaming’, your points are duly noted and I appreciate your comments as to why our free press is the envy of the world.

I note you refer to centuries of the ways Celts, Vikings lived etc, and do not see any sense in the connection of today’s modern world events.

I was brought up in the Midlands, schooled, worked and made my mark in life before going further afield in to the big wide world.

After the defeat of the Nazi scourge, nothing was ever the same again.

Without any prejudice or racist reference, I can, in all honesty say, upon my return to my roots, I did not recognise any part of my youth. The change was unbelievable in such a short time.

Yes, I do love the true island people of this land of ours. I see the immigration problem from the grass roots of hard working class, not the house owners, the gentry and those with healthy bank accounts.

If you want an NHS system where they hardly speak English and medical diagnosis is a danger and Christian belief is being chipped away very slowly by your so called ethnic citizens, then so be it.

I, like thousands of us, do not want any more. Enough is enough.
