Am I the only one sick of the tricks used by supermarkets?

I use my Asda Walmart almost daily and yet again got caught out the other day. There are hundreds of Easter eggs on the shelves, all with prominent £1 labels underneath.

My son picked one from right in the middle of the display that had no price anywhere on the shelf.

Surprise, surprise, when we got to the till it was £3. The Asda lady said I wasn't the first to complain and was very apologetic and went to sort it out but it’s a constant feature of shops tricking people and hoping no one notices or complains.

They have ‘special offer’ stickers displayed but then have the wrong product that looks almost identical in the space where the discounted product should be.

Products that are available in different flavours will be ‘on offer’ yet at the till you find out only two were on offer and the third one you picked is excluded. Products are ‘on offer’ until you get to the till and find out it was the slightly smaller pack that was discounted.

A busy parent with a large trolley full of shopping and children to look out for probably gets stung every time without noticing, or are too rushed to complain.
