I felt I had to write after receiving a flyer through my door urging me to vote Labour in the next election. The headline virtue they expressed was to ‘balance the books’.
They obviously assume that my memory is that of a goldfish, as it was the last Labour government’s imbalance of the books that got us in the dreadful deficit mess we currently inhabit.
Having said that, I do not trust politicians of any colour as I genuinely believe them to be puppets of a corrupt system. The only person I would readily vote for is one who would do away with central banking and restore the issuance of money to the Government.
That way we can spend our own money without having to pay interest. It has been successfully employed at times in the past but pressure from the banks has always ensured we go back to the system that uses ‘boom or bust’ as a regulator and periodic wars to cover malpractice.
