KAREN Buckley, a young lady of Irish birth, (my wife’s mother was Irish), was allegedly brutally murdered and sexually assaulted, then her lifeless and abused corpse dumped in the countryside, outside of my town of birth, Glasgow.

It brings back horrific memories of a similar incident in our rural town of Swindon.

To my mind, the shocking murder of young ladies in their prime all over our island demands drastic measures regarding their protection.

What annoys me most is the ludicrous comments that the ladies concerned asked for it, by their dress code.
