RE: ‘Ignorant about Islam’ from Axmed Bahjad of 16 April.
He states: ‘I must say I was disappointed by his replies. I was expecting him to address these two points – namely Sharia law and superiority, and prove me wrong.’ This is a bit rich coming from a Muslim who has ignored my letters concerning Islam’s degrading treatment of women. Excuse me, Axmed, but I have forgotten the original question regarding Sharia law that you have difficulty grasping.
As a non-Muslim layman, I am more than willing to advise you as an erudite Muslim ‘theologian’ on any aspect of Sharia law that you have difficulty understanding, so fire away.
His question on ‘superiority’. Islam states that Muslims are a superior people with a superior religion because Muhammad was Allah’s final messenger to mankind.
Islam claims Jesus didn’t die on the cross, nor was there a resurrection from the dead. (Q. 4: 15).
From this many Muslims conclude that Christians are inferior and some assert that they are enemies of Islam.
The Quran tells Muslims that they are a favoured race, while all other religions are “perverted transgressors.” (3: 110).
Let Ayatollah Khomeini have the last sweet lyrics: “Non-Muslims rank somewhere between faeces and the sweat of a camel.”
