IN HIS letter of May 4, ‘Patron saint is ignored’, Roger Lack still claims St George is not celebrated in schools.
A visit to the website ‘St George’s Day Celebrated’ will show many pictures and reports from schools across England participating in celebrations marking his day.
He then says an English voice is rarely heard in Swindon town centre. According to the 2011 Census, nearly 90 per cent of Swindon’s population say their first language is English.
You are entitled to your opinions but you put your opinions forward as fact when in reality it is fallacy.
You may well be right when you say that your views are more supported than mine are but what do you expect when the UK’s mass selling daily papers are right-wing tabloids.
