Ian Hunt (June 22) is correct that the EU accounts have not been approved by the EU auditors for the last 20 years.

In fact it is unlikely that the EU accounts will ever be approved because of their poor accounting systems and the very large number of continuing errors.

The forthcoming EU referendum is all about who governs Britain. The choice is between the appointed EU Commissioners in Brussels, and our democratically elected MPs.

If the EU has not been able to get their accounts approved for 20 years, then why should we have faith that the EU is competent to make 80 per cent of our laws here in Britain?
