WHEN Greece adopted the euro currency there was a seamless transition from the drachma to the euro.
For a while, the two currencies ran side by side and gradually the drachma was withdrawn. It is beholden upon the EU to ensure that reverting back to the drachma is just as smooth. But it seems that the EU is determined to make a crisis out of the very simple matter of changing the Greek currency.
