How to fund the deficit
SO how do Messrs Webb (SA, 15 July) intend to fund the deficit? A combination of savings, increased taxable income and economic growth is surely the only way forward – even for Greece.
Surely (and, if so how) the world cannot live on taxation and public spending alone. We’re in danger of returning to the economic downturn sponsored by the Labour Party and that’s likely to be perpetuated if the forthcoming vote goes the wrong way.
