WITH regards to ‘Welcoming the Syrian Refugees – What do you think?’ of November 11, you ask for views on the impending tide of Syrian refugees coming to Wiltshire.
Baroness Scott of Bybrook, the leader of Wiltshire Council, said: “Alongside our partners we are preparing the way to welcome refugees to our county so they can permanently settle and make a safe and secure life for themselves in Wiltshire.”
Why not dispatch one of your reporters around the county to locate local families who have been on social/council home waiting lists for an interminably long time?
Record their feelings about sinking yet further on the diminishing housing lists until eventually they become not even footnotes anymore, completely forgotten and abandoned, perhaps even homeless.
