I SEE that that laugh-a-minute compere, multi-millionaire Sir Terry Wogan is to resign from the annual Children in Need show.
His parting words: “The British public as always will dig deep in their pockets and purses to help the country’s disadvantaged children.”
They certainly have. He wasn’t among the disadvantaged raking in £10,000 for each show from licence payers since 1980. None of his fellow comperes were paid a penny.
One year he did apparently donate his tie to the highest bidder. Such sacrifice. Nice one, Terry.
