The Swindon Mindful Employer Network is celebrating its best annual event yet. Interest in this year’s conference had been very considerable with all places taken up nearly 5 weeks before the event took place.
David Latham, who manages the network at Richmond Fellowship Wiltshire says: “With top speakers making their way to Swindon and the incredible interest in the work of the network by employers locally – this had to be one of the best events we have staged. The fact remains workplace well-being and business culture issues are attractive to employers right now who are looking for answers to building healthier and more productive businesses.”
Among speakers were Dame Carol Black – the National Director for Health and Work and organisational psychologist Professor Ivan Robertson. BBC Points West presenter Ali Vowles hosted the occasion with appearances from Giles Miskin of the Colour Works who provided an entertaining and witty session on the impact of personalities in the workplace.
Dave King , Editor of the Swindon Advertiser was in conversation with Jonathan Naess of the campaigning charity Stand to Reason and parliamentary researcher for both Swindon MPs – Chris Van Roon. Gavin Jones Chief Executive of the Swindon Borough Council introduced the keynote presentation.
Joanne Taylor-Stagg General Manager of the Swindon Marriott, who is leaving the town to run a hotel in London, was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Swindon Chamber of Commerce President Gary Mealing.
Heart FM and the Swindon Marriott supported the conference entitled Building Healthier Businesses which took place on Monday 4th April at the hotel.
