When Paolo Di Canio was appointed Swindon Town manager in May we all knew it wasn’t going to be a dull time in the clubs history, but this week we’ve been treated to the world that follows our new gaffer wherever he goes in football.
But before we look at that, Town have had another poor week on the pitch with defeats to Shrewsbury and Southampton.
Town’s first visit to the New Meadow ended in a 2-1 defeat after Matt Richie put Town ahead after a pin-point across from Callum Kennedy, but after a awful second half we returned to Wiltshire still on 3 points after 5 league games.
Tuesday night’s game against Southampton was always going to be difficult to win with the Saints currently sitting top of the Championship.

After the full-time whistle Clarke was leaving the pitch and was unhappy at Di Canio’s way of trying to comfort him after the game, which led to Paolo reacting down the tunnel and then it turned into a scuffle between player and manager.
The perfect solution would be for Di Canio and Clarke to kiss and make up, but with a lot of big egos in this situation Clarke’s time at Town has come to an end.
we should see some more new faces join the club on loan to fill the gap soon.
This Weekend we entertain League Two leaders Rotherham United at the County Ground live on Sky Sports. (12.15pm KO) Saturday’s game will be tough and with our poor start to the season Rotherham will be odd’s on favourites to come away with all 3 points.
But after seeing what we can do this season especially away at Bristol City, we should be confident we can come away with a positive result and finally move up the League Two table in front of the live TV camera’s
