Can somebody please tell me where the last five years went! My youngest son is five today. I’m none too chuffed with him, as he promised me faithfully that he would stay four forever!

Some good news

Yesterday I had to take Alfie to the hospital for his ENT appointment. Alfie has had glue ear from birth. This causes hearing loss and recurrent ear infections, as well as his ear drums perforating regularly, which as you can imagine causes him a great deal of pain.

We just had a couple of Jehovah Witnesses knock the door and leave us some booklets to read. When they had left,a curious Abbie asked "Who are they Mummy?"

I have been trying to get used to doing more cooking at home. It’s not something that I have done loads of over the past few years, so it’s taking some getting used to. Last week I made a chilli and it was horrible! It was watery and tasteless. Today, not wanting to be beaten, I decided on a second attempt.
