Getting good at this!

I don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched, but I think I may be getting good at this!

My sis and her rabbit popped around for a visit this morning (normal occurrence here at the shoe.) Anyway, she seemed a little surprised at my calm manner.

"Did you read the letter that the children all came home with yesterday?" she asked

"No" I replied "But I am getting good at the paperwork and tend to have it dealt with within a week"

I said this with pride. Every week religiously I have been going through all of my paperwork and sorting it out.

"Oh!" Sis said looking a little apprehensive to say the least.

"Then you won't know about European Language Day tomorrow and the fact that all of the kids have to dress up"

"WHAT!"

Cue the start of a panicked frenzy and a hunt for the offending afore mentioned letter. Each year group had been given a different European country and all children were requested to dress up in that particular country's colour. Yep, I had five of them! Arrrggghh!

Then you won't know about European Language Day tomorrow and the fact that all of the kids have to dress up

I had France for little man, Wales for youngest daughter, Belgium for my star ballet dude, Germany for my oldest daughter and lastly Belgium for my son.

Up the stairs we went to hit the wardrobes. Sis mentioned that she needed a t-shirt for her son and a red article for her daughter, so that made seven outfits.

We did it all in under ten minutes! I was so impressed with us! Mr Wolf even managed to produce relevant face paints for each colour required (we were additionally asked to do each Country’s flag in face paint on the children.) Watch this space for pictures……

I am impressed by your family’s efforts for this event, we only have the 4 kids (3 at school) and find keeping up with the school activities and trips hard work.
I thing we must get at least 2 letters a week asking for money for something from the school, not to bad when you have time to pay but a pain when you get a clutch just before the end of the month. (Is it that the last week of the month is longer than the others or is it just me waiting on my salary to clear).
