I have two little cherubs off sick. There is yet another tummy bug doing the rounds and escaping prospects are not looking good at the shoe.
In the meantime, Mr Wolf starts his new job today and will be working after school. It’s going to be a challenge for me. He hasn’t even started yet and already I am trying to juggle. I have little Billy Elliott who has to be at ballet after school and two of the other children who have a visit with their dad on a Wednesday. He just happens to pick them up at the same time I have to collect Billy from Ballet. I hope that in the meantime nobody else goes down with this bug to further complicate matters!
I am proud of the fact that the children’s social lives are fab, but certainly a challenge for me! Between them this term we have football, gardening club, karate, ballet and cheer leading. Then we have various friends’ birthday parties, as well as the annual stuff (Halloween, Christmas, bonfire night etc.) Alongside this we have the all important play dates with different friends (invites to tea etc.) I must remember who has had a friend to tea recently and who’s turn it is next (get it wrong and we have a full scale sibling rivalry war on our hands!) Must also remember which children were a nightmare to have round and went through the house leaving it devastated to the effect that a full scale hurricane had actually taken place (not inviting them again!) and the ones that behaved brilliantly (daughter’s friend I didn’t know I had.)
Right I’m off, winter coats need organising (have you noticed the chill in the air brrr!) and I really have to encourage little man away from the TV, perhaps I could read to him? At the moment I am subjecting him to Wonderpets. We have a duck with biggles style glasses and flying hat on, a hamster in a baseball cap and a turtle dressed up like Father Christmas. They have rescued a baby piglet who is been transported via red pram, with rocket launch attached. In the background we have a group of beetles who are actually singing various Beetles songs! Oh my word I am going before my son grows up completely warped and damaged for the rest of his life (like his Mother!)
