Least we forget

I have had a few things on my mind recently and have not written much, however I do have a funny conversation to share with you. The following was a conversation that occurred between me and eight year old son this afternoon, whilst on the way home from the Jolly Roger and passing an elderly gentleman decorated with lots of war medals.

“Look Jord at all that man’s medals”

“What are they for Mum?”

“They are medals that he won when he fought in the war”

“Oh Wow!” (Brief pause) “Mum did he survive the war?”

“Umm yes Jord, he is walking down the street!”

Kids! Don’t you just love them! I brought all of mine a poppy and hope that when they have children of their own, they do the same, just as my parents did.
