Best excuse so far

Sorry we are late Mum...

Lloyd got stuck up a tree! Followed by a rather dramatic story of the tree incident (he somehow got attached to the tree by his coat hood and a heroic rescue was performed by his brave brother)

I then spent several hours examining the “What Ifs” of the situation :( should I ban the monkey boys from climbing trees? It suitably distracted me from grounding them for being late!

Don't ground them, just run a monthly compertition for the best excuse, give a small prize (stay up 30 mins longer on a Saturday evening), collect up the best of the excuses and publish them in a book, sit back and live on the royaltys.
