Spring has sprung!

It has been another busy week here. I am not working at the moment, but still there never seems to be a spare minute in the day. The washing is constant as is the shopping and the preparing of meals. Sometimes I totally run out of ideas on what to feed them! (If anybody has any simple recipe ideas I would be really grateful!)

The five children at primary school got their school reports this week and I am thrilled to say that they were all good! They are all working hard and I am very proud of them. We also had a cake Friday this week. This is a fundraising activity at the school. Once a year each year group has a cake Friday, where parents are asked to donate some cakes which can be sold after school. I love this idea, as it means that I get to bake cakes with each of the cubs throughout the year. This time it was Amy’s turn and we made chocolate brownies. Actually she did most of it! She is getting very good at cooking. I also love taking them all to the cake sale after school. They always come back hyper and happy with full little bellies!

I got to look after my Grandson for the day on Thursday which was lovely. He is now four months and is absolutely adorable. He is such a happy content little chap and only complains when he needs refuelling (like most men!)

Yesterday we went to the seaside which was fab. We went to Milford-On-Sea (close to the New Forest). It has a really good view of the Isle of Wight and is a very pretty place. I especially enjoyed our walk along the sea front, despite having a dodgy foot. My joints are playing up again and swelling especially the ones in my hands and feet. I should really go back to the doctors, but I have been putting it off.

Next week I plan to start Easter egg shopping. I only have two so far. I am really going to miss Woolworths this Easter, as they used to do such a fab selection of Easter Eggs and I could usually pick up one for each of the six cubs under one roof. I must also plan some activities to keep them busy over the Easter holidays (they break up on Friday) So far they are going to a Play scheme at Drove on Tues and I also plan on a trip to Bath. There is this really huge park that they all love going to in Bath. It is so huge that all day could easily be spent there with a picnic. Fingers X we have some good weather!

Well I guess I had better start getting some little dudes ready for bed, school tomorrow. Hope everyone reading is well and the sun is making you feel as good as it is me!

I am happy that British Summer Time is here, with the lighter evenings and maybe some better weather the kids will be able to spend more time playing on swings etc in the garden or goning to the park for a game of football. Either will be better than them sitting in front of the telly or moaning they have nothing to do.
