I was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky (yes I have that southern drawl) and have lived in Wiltshire for seven years. I have a wonderful husband and one son (with special needs) and four awesome step-children. Here I'll be sharing my thoughts about my everyday life and the people that I come acrossa and how I see the world with humour and sincerity.
I am truly sorry as it has been awhile since my last blog. It has been total chaos for me. My son started a new school, the dog has decided she wants to go into the career path of being a thief, I am redecorating my house (painting) and psyching myself up for NaNoWriMo (National November Writing Month).
Yesterday I was on Twitter networking and the owner of Scrumptious Delights was on there talking about her business...CUPCAKES! I decided to look at her website and the pictures on there were so beautiful. I was getting hungry just looking at all these inviting cupcakes. They were calling me and the voices in my head of course said buy it...buy it...buy it.
It has been a busy couple of weeks for me as I have been putting alot of work into my Novel, catching up with family, friends and networking. Having a child home for summer holidays takes up most my time as he has disabilities and needs to know what is going on at all times. He gets bored quite quickly and I have to step in to fill in the gaps and encourage him.
The book “My Body Belongs to Me” is a wonderful book that teaches children who and what to do if they are have been or is suffering from Sexual Abuse. It educates them in a way with rhyme and illustrations and encourages a child that it is okay to tell an adult when you have been touched in a private area, whether it is a teacher, parents, police officer or anyone who will listen. And keep telling until someone does believe you.
What a shocker it is to be sleeping soundly dreaming, only to be woken up by sharp pains in your stomach. I was just dreaming about pains in my stomach when I awoke to the exact same situation? It is kind of ironic. The pains came and went until 6:30 am then they seemed to have gotten worse. I was able to tolerate it until about 10:30am. My son whom has special needs, called 999 for an ambulance. I am so proud of him.
Have you ever had one of those weeks that is nonstop rush, rush, rush? Well that is my life this week. My seventeen year old son had a birthday, hubby’s birthday today, the husky’s birthday, Father’s Day, Graduation party for my son on Saturday as he is graduating from secondary school for special needs and will be attending National Star College (Special Needs College) in September.
Anyone out there, who just wants to enjoy life, laughs and have a good time? I am now raising my hand with total enthusiasm! I do! I do! I do! I love comedians they are so smack on target about everything. I am a people watcher, as I am sure they are. I observe personalities, body language (read a book on that subject...very interesting.), and how they interact in different situations.
I am a procrastinator by nature so when I need to be organised, it is literally like pulling teeth. I have papers everywhere, post-its on my shelf next to me, reference books and notepads all over the living room as this is my workspace. I know everything is all over but most of the time, I know where things are.
To diet or not to diet (is that a question or a statement?). I have been using the “See Food Diet”, you know the one where you see food and you eat it! It seems to be working for me but, I am a bit confused as I believe that this diet for people who want to gain weight instead of losing it.
Everyone has a vice that gets them motivated and moving in the morning. Waking up to a sixteen year old nagging at you to make his breakfast is not one of them! So, I have decided to put down in words 10 reasons to leave me be until I have had my caffeine ...oh yeah AND happy pills!
Do you people please for your sanity, acceptance or afraid of hurting someone’s feelings? I am a people pleaser for acceptance and approval.
It has not been the best of weeks but, then again when is it ever a good week. My son is off school for another week so, that means another week of not being able to do what I normally do when he is at school. I clean the house (he messes the house), I wash dishes (he uses every dish), I write my blog or work on my novel (he interrupts me every 3 minutes), normally it is nice and quiet (he swears every time he opens his mouth), I listen to my iPod with headphones (he blasts his keyboards) and finally I am usually laidback (he calls me a “control freak”).
