I just had to write a few words when I heard on television a fellow say that as the health service is in money trouble, some of the oldest people who have a bit of money should put a monthly sum into it. I thought how marvellous this is.

I personally paid in for 80 years as I started my apprenticeship in the railway then and we were told we must pay into the railway fund which started the health fund here. But now I am older I hardly think I should pay in extra as I get illnesses at my later stage in life.

‘Come on G Ing, put more money in, you are 95, you need care now.’ As I have said before, this country is now run by a crowd of liars.

I wish they would come and live in this area for a while.
