I wonder if the 150th anniversary of the arrival in Marlborough of GWR trains from Savernake Junction should be recorded.
The first revenue earning broad gauge train ran into Marlborough high level station on April 14, 1864.
It was not until July 26, 1881 that a train service from Swindon into Marlborough low level station began.
