NFU President Meurig Raymond says “we will never get rid of TB in cattle if it isn’t tackled in those populations where it is rife”.
The problem is how does he know where it is rife? Badgers spend most of their time underground. How do you know which are the ones who have TB? You do not wipe out whole populations of living creatures to get rid of a particular ailment that may only affect a few.
Whole populations of birds of prey and otters have been wiped out just for blood sports. We will never learn.
