BILL Oddie and Chris Packham are supporting the League Against Cruel Sports in their campaign to protect songbirds from being shot by at least 10,000 shooters as they fly over Malta. They have a motto which is “If it flies, it dies.”
Chris and Bill have been to Malta to persuade the shooters and the government to save the migrating birds. They were attacked and threatened by the police.
At least 40,000 Maltese are against the shooters.
There are some huntsmen in Britain who support the shooters thinking they are protecting their own interests.
We need to try and save the songbirds by giving Malta a miss for our holidays.
