Ebola has now spread to Mali. Mali has an open border with Guinea, so Ebola was bound to spread into Mali. Ebola was brought into Mali by a baby travelling on a bus.
The only way to stop Ebola is to halt it at the borders. Once Ebola gets into a country there is no stopping it.
The number of infections has now passed 10,000 and the numbers are rising rapidly.
Britain must take strong additional action to make our borders 100 per cent secure from this very frightening Ebola virus.
