POLICE covering their identification numbers, wearing balaclavas or scarves to hide their faces. Police using unnecessary force and actually provoking demonstrators. This has been par for the course as regards animal rights demonstrations, at least for the 15 years I have been involved so it seems odd that there is a right old furore going on in relation to the G20 protests. That is what our wonderful police do I am afraid. The only time I have seen their actions justified was at the Countryside Alliance pro hunt demonstration - now they really deserved a bit of stick as they normally like dishing it out to defenceless animals.
