I WAs appalled to read about the dog that was attacked by another dog at Pembroke recreation ground last week. I don’t blame the dog. It boils down to pure ignorance on the owner's part.
All dogs are unpredictable but if you are a responsible dog owner who loves their pet you would know what your dog is capable of and hopefully keep it well under control.
My collie was attacked by a Rottweiler 16 months ago. I was walking past a house with my dog on a lead when the Rottweiler ran from the gate and jumped on my dog inflicting puncture wounds on his back which required painkillers and antibiotics from my vet as well as £57.
