I AM a community fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care and I am looking for people who are willing to give up some time to volunteer at our Ladies Driving Challenge at RAF Colerne near Chippenham on March 20. The event which gives ladies the opportunity to drive exciting vehicles that they might not normally have the opportunity to drive, such as JCB diggers, double decker buses and articulated lorries really needs volunteers to make it a success. Any help that people can give by marshalling, vehicle checking or registering participants would be greatly appreciated.
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. It costs £20 an hour to fund a Marie Curie Cancer Care nurse and we are hoping to raise enough money to fund 1,400 hours. We need your help to make it a fun and safe event for the ladies taking part.
We still have places left for ladies who would like to participate in the event, it costs just £10 to register and we ask that you raise £100 minimum sponsorship.
