CLAIMS by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that glaciers were melting rapidly in the Himalayas were simply not true.
These forecasts have now been withdrawn by the IPCC.
The IPCC now believe that these glaciers are not under any threat at all, for at least 300 years.
It now seems that the whole story about melting glaciers in the Himalayas was a hoax.
