So sad to hear the passing of Chris. Larger than life character and a really nice chap. Knew him years ago from the Co-op days. RIP Chris. You will be missed. Jan Gregory

Chris (Dibby) will be sadly missed by many, he was a great friend for 45 years, a Friday night drinking buddy for many years, he taught us to drive, we remember a wooden spoon being a training tool, which definitely got our attention!
He was a one in a million character and the world will be a sadder place without him.
RIP Chris love Gary and Janet

Chris was a wonderful friend and we met when we both worked as driving instructors. We were fortunate to share lots of fun times during meals out, parties and holidays and I will cherish the many fond memories. You were a wonderful friend to myself and my family and you will be missed terribly. It really doesn't seem possible that you are no longer here with us!
RIP dear Chris, love and miss you, love Carol, Jack and family xxx

We always knew when Chris had entered the building! His cheerful voice could always be heard before he arrived! He was a great driving instructor to me and a wonderful friend to my Gran, who he knew from his days working at the Stratton Co-op. He always affectionately called her ‘Tom’ and always remembered her birthday. Chris had a heart of gold.

We will miss you Chris, you always brought a smile to our faces with your down to earth cheeky humour.
I loved sharing memories of the Great days of Swindon speedway with you.
Our thoughts are with you.
Love.

Chris was a larger than life person who will be sorely missed. A brilliant driving instructor and always acknowledged every one he knew no matter where he was.
