NOTICE OF MAKING OF RAIL CROSSING
DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 119A PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 5 AND 6 SOUTH MARSTON ORDER 2020
The above order was made on 4 March 2020, under section 119A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended by the Transport and Works Act 1992). The order will divert
i) Public Footpath 5 between OS grid reference SU19408677 generally northwards and then generally north north westwards across the level crossing to OS grid reference SU19368701 to a route across a footbridge between OS grid references SU19378692 and SU19378694, and
ii) Public Footpath 6 between OS grid reference SU19658692 generally north north westwards and across the level crossing to OS grid reference SU19618703 to a route along the north side of the railway line between OS grid references SU19618703 and SU19378694.
A copy of the order and the map may be seen free of charge at the Customer Services Reception, Wat Tyler House, Princes Street, Swindon, SN12JG from 9am to 5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays to Fridays and 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £15. The order and order map can also be viewed on the public rights of way pages ofthe Swindon Borough Council website (

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Rights of Way Officer, Swindon Borough Council, Highways and Transport, 5th Floor Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon SN12JH, not later than 3 April 2020. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Swindon Borough Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order. Dated 6 March 2020
